Brazilian Visual Artist and Illustrator in Sydney, Australia

I believe in art as a practice and a craft, one that feeds on the time and research that you give it.  Sharing a finished (or not…) piece with friends/audience has taught me, and still does, that joy and excitement eventually beat the fear of judgement.

Pictures have become my vessel for a personal and unique self-expression, as well as my framework of choice for development of technical skillsets - in digital and traditional art mediums.

I aim to participate in meaningful creative exchanges as a member of artistic communities.

Currently I’m getting back to my sketchbook practice, while exploring digital forms of illustration.

I’m searching for ways to tell my story, what place does it hold in the world, where it touches the story of others. I also write about my artwork, looking for accurate terms to situate my practice in the known techniques and styles, searching where it sits in the industry and marketplace.

Having gone through Art School and Drama School, there has been a clear change in my understanding and outlook on making art. I find that a separation of personal practice and industry conventions have become a crucial element of my approach.
